FC Baguettes Snatch Dramatic Draw Against League Leaders Highland Dolls

For their fourth match of the season, FC Baguettes faced a serious challenge against Highland Dolls, who came into the game as league leaders with an impressive record of four wins and one draw in five matches.

The Baguettes endured early pressure but struck first in spectacular fashion. Kilian scored his very first goal for the club, finishing off a well-crafted assist from Mickael to give the French side an early lead (1–0).

The match quickly turned into an intense battle, with FC Baguettes showing strong control in open play. However, Highland Dolls found their way back through a corner, converting a powerful header placed perfectly into the left side of the goal — unstoppable for the keeper (1–1).

Momentum shifted as the game opened up. A defensive mistake from the Baguettes allowed the opposing striker to go one-on-one and put Highland Dolls ahead (2–1). At halftime, despite a balanced contest, the advantage lay with the league leaders.

The second half proved physically demanding for FC Baguettes, who were reduced to just 10 players available (7 on the field), limiting their ability to rotate. Fatigue began to show, and a fortunate counterattack from midfield sent the Highland Dolls forward once again for another clinical finish (3–1).

But the Baguettes refused to give in.

With five minutes remaining, hope was reignited when Mickael delivered yet another assist, this time for Illiès, who calmly reduced the deficit (3–2). Energized and driven, the French side pushed forward relentlessly.

In the final minute, their efforts were rewarded. A brilliant move initiated by Anthony led to Mickael finding the back of the net, completing a stunning comeback (3–3).

An intense and emotional match, ending in a draw that once again felt like a victory for FC Baguettes.
